Maggie in her E-collar

Maggie's Laceration

Maggie is an 8 year old border-collie cross who took off on a walk and came back with a wound on her leg.

She was likely impaled by a stick while running through the woods.

Treatment for this wound includes clipping the hair, cleansing the cut with an antibacterial solution, oral antibiotics, and the use of an E-collar to prevent her from licking.

The wound must be cleaned everyday until it scabs over.

A lot of dogs love to eat, but for Maggie (aka: the Princess Margaret) eating is Nirvana. She will do anything for food. If she will roll over, take a bow, sit pretty, lie, beg, fight, steal, and cheat for a piece of kibble, just imagine what she would do for a nice chunk of salmon!

When Maggie isn't wearing an E-collar, she enjoys eating, running, eating, being petted, eating, and chasing squirrels.
